Because the Chorale consists of singers whose skills are developed sufficiently, they are able to sing a wider range of music than the younger groups. Thus, the Chorale provides the culmination of the high school singing experience. This year, because of the increased expertise and number of the singers, the Chor ale, which won a bronze medal last year, was able to tackle more com plex music, such as Bartok’s Slovak Folk Songs. So that chamber music could be added the Varsity Singers were formed. This group is subdivid ed into the Choraliers and the Con cert Singers. “Through this experi ence,” commented faculty advisor,
Mr. Arthur McKenzie, “the stu dents can improve their vocal skills, acquire an aesthetic education and increase the breadth of their curricu la.”
