Chess Club
Years ago, there was a chess team which competed with other schools. This year, faculty advisor Mr. Ro bert Paoli, together with Claus Zie- ler, re-established a club to compete within the school. The twenty stu dents involved in the club meet once or twice a week to practice for a com petition later in the year. Claus Zie-
ler, who functions as president, stat ed the purpose of the Chess Club: “The Chess Club is intended to bring some fun and recreational value to the school. At the same time, the game trains the mind of each player. It is like a sport, only that the mind,
not the body, is exercised.”
