   FOOTBALL
For the first time since 1949, the Junior football team, coached by Mr. Breene and Mr. Vietor, won the North Jersey Title Ivy League championship. With Gary Taylor and Bruce Kurre captaining the team, it developed into one of the finest junior teams in many years. The squad lost only one game, a non-league contest to Rum- son, 7-0. The crowning victory which brought the trophy to the juniors was a 50-0 win over St. Bernards of Pea- pack. The team was outstanding on defense as well as on offense, allowing the opposition to score only once during the season, while scoring themselves a total of 108
points.
