VARSITY SINGERS
Varsity Singers is a group of selected students from the 9th to ITth grades who represent some of the best voices in the school. They rehearse three times a week and display dedication all the time. Aside from per forming in winter and spring concerts, they also pre sent programs outside the school. For example, the Varsity Singers this year went to the Watchung View Inn and performed a holiday program for the Home maker’s Association of Somerset County; in addition a
spring performance is scheduled for the Fortnightly Club in Summit.
According to Mr. Fischer, this ensemble of especially talented singers has proved itself capable of perform ing difficult music while still maintaining a sense of balance and blend.
Representing Wardlaw-Hartridge in concert perfor mances outside the school this year’s Varsity Singers has done much to raise our standards for vocal music achievement.
