W ith the December issue, the Beacon turned thirty years old. This memorable oc­ casion was the culmination of hard work, dedication and growth.
Two new popular and humorous columns appeared in the Beacon this year: Dan Brot- man’s "D.B. or Not D.B.” and W-H’s answer to Dear Abby, "Aid in Distress” by Diane Zitner and Elaine Kossowicz. With articles like these, the Beacon may be thirty but it is not over the hill.
