Despite small numbers that made it difficult to fill all the lanes, the Varsity Swim team had five strong victories this season. They also avenged some of their losses by defeating teams in the State Tournament that had defeated the squad earlier in the year. The team was very young with only one senior, co-captain Adam Kreitman and two juniors, co-captain Lorin Cone and Hick Zagorski. There was a lot of younger talent on the team led by sophomore Dan Cone, who placed sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke at the State Tournament. Other standouts were sophomores Karen Dobbelaar and Amanda Verba, as well as freshman Mike Sidun. One of the team's strongest events was the 200 freestyle relay which earned them
a bronze medal at the Prep Conference Meet and a new school record at the State Tournament. The record setters were Dave Slurzberg, Adam Kreitman, Lorin Cone and Dan Cone.
