Although the idea had been brewing for a while. Student Council was given only two weeks to put together the First Annuai Winter Semi-Formal Dance. In the beginning, people were doubtful. The last time the school had tried a semi- formal, it was a flop. But the Dance Committee, chaired by Michelle Wright, puiled off what was perhaps the most successful dance in Wardlaw-Hartridge history. In one night, the AP room was transformed into an elegant ballroom laced with snowflakes, hearts, balloons, streamers, buffet tables, lattices, and lights. Over 130 peopie attended. Be­ cause of the warm reception to this dance. Student Council is hoping to make this (as the name suggests) an annual event.
