The Wardlaw Chess Club, under the direction of Mr. Clark E. Whelton, has completed another successful year. With leadership provided by Bernard Beck, president; Harris Warner, vice- president; and match co-captains Richard Perl mutter and David White, the club enjoyed an excellent season in the Union County High School Chess Club.
Meeting six times a week during seventh and activities periods, all members competed in the club tournament and strived to move up on the club's rating chart.
The club will miss its only senior on the team, David White; but, with freshmen Todd Lunna, Kevin McMahon, and Peter Seligmann quickly developing into strong players, the club looks forward to many more promising years.
