'And I think, as I have often said
Horne
Mr. Horne has been with us now for five years. During these years, he has become more than a headmaster; he has become the cornerstone of the Wardlaw Country Day School. Our dedication of the 1965 Maroon and Gold to him is but one way of expressing our thanks and our congratulations.
Working closely with the Board of Trustees, Mr. Horne has been outstandingly successful in improving and expand ing the school. His sincere interest in the boys and in their problems has proved invaluable time and again. His soft- spoken manner and his sense of humor have made many friends for the school.
Students are the most important part of any school, and it is with the student body that Mr. Horne has attained his most notable results. His closeness to the boys has placed him in a unique position. A talk with Mr. Horne is invariably all that is necessary to send a student back to work. His gentle prodding has won him unanimous respect.
Mr. Horne has never in his five years with us turned away anyone with a problem. He has transmitted the feel ing that he is a personal friend who is solidly behind us as individuals and as a school.
It is as individuals, then, and as a school that we would like to say again, "Thank you, sir, and congratulations."
"It is a great pleasure to introduce . . ."
'Now if you'll just give me an outside line.'
