This year’s student council, under the leadership of Presi­ dent Martin McDougall did much to reorganize the student government at Wardlaw-Hartridge. The council’s main func­ tion this year was to overhaul the student constitution, which had become ineffective and obsolete over the years.
Of course, the council organized student events. Activities such as the Costume Day on Halloween, movie nights, and Carnation Day kept the council busy the whole year. “We set the foundation upon which future councils can build,” com­ mented Martin McDougall.
