 TRUSTEES EC4RD CE TRUSTEE
The Wardlaw-Hartridge Board of Trustees is a hard-work ing, involved group of men and women who are concerned with running the school. The Board has two specific func tions: declaring the policy of the school and maintaining a good financial standing for the school.
The Board of Trustees is the group that was responsible for searching for our new headmaster, Mr. Ayres. After receiving 100 applications, interviewing 25 candidates, and choosing just one person, Dr. Garrett M. Keating, Head of the Board, stated that he is very pleased with Mr. Ayres. Their hard work, in looking for a good educator and a good administrator, has
paid off.
The Board still has 30 members but has had five new
additions, one woman and four men. They are Mrs. Barbara Charlton, Mr. William Wigton, Mr. Ronald Kent, Mr. Frederick Lackland, and Mr. Frederick Anthony.
The Board is presently involved in long-range projects. Two of the projects are continuing the academic growth of Ward law-Hartridge and the Capital Fund Drive. If the school con tinues with its academic growth, in the future, the school will have new and better facilities, and the school will have a faculty that will improve annually. The purpose of the Capital Fund Drive is to raise money for the school. This money is being raised through contributions from the alumni, the Board, friends, and parents. The goal is one million dollars
from which some money will be given to the school scholar ship fund. With the wonderful guidance of the Board of Trust ees, the school is doing very well and is improving at a rapid pace.
