Senora Linda Kouril...profesora, guia, y amiga
When we were children, it was usually family members who held our hands and guided us on our way. As we got older, other caring adults joined this supportive group. For the Class of 2015, Senora Kouril was one of these very important people. She eased our transition into the Upper School with her smiles, charismatic leadership, and thoughtful advice. With both direct and subtle guidance, she helped us make positive decisions regarding both school and, sometimes, personal issues. Her constant enthusiasm stimulated those around her. Throughout the last seven years, Senora Kouril honored W-H by working as a Spanish Teacher, World Language Department Chair, and Advisor to the Spanish Club. She organized the annual Living Art Exhibition, and every year takes her Spanish IV and Spanish V students on various trips to New York City's Metropolitan Mueseam of Art and to Latin-American dance performances. In doing so, she has instilled in us a level of cultural awareness and appreciation for which we are deeply grateful. As we leave Wardlaw-Hartridge, we
know that she sends her love and encouragement with us. And, since she is retiring, we send ours with her. We borrow from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night to say Senora Kouril, "...thanks, and thanks, and ever thanks..." to this lovely lady with whom we have shared our school days.
