On February 19th, students from W-H attended the second annual INDIE Film Festvial at the South Orange Performing Arts Center." Julie Hamilton, the festival coordinator, was interviewed by a member of the press from the New Jersey Star Ledger and said, "Since the debut year, our student- filmmakers have used the INDIE to express their thoughts, ideas, and opinions with regard to a global issue or event that they are passionate about. We hope to create a forum showcasing student work, while allowing them artistic freedom through a global lens. After all, we all have stories, and those stories have voices, and those voices deserve to be heard." This year the festival was open to both middle and upper school students. Moving forward, the goal is to make the INDIE a stateĀ wide event that will include all indepedent schools in New Jersey.
