Nothing during the Christmas season more vi\’idly imparts the Christmas spirit than “hiager Heart.” We all were pleased on learning that it would he given again this year, and the evening was long antici­
pated.
A fitting atmosphere was created by old familiar carols sung before the play. When the curtain rose \”irginia Howell presented the prologue. As she left the stage the doors of a humble home opened, revealing
Ifager Heart sewing cjuietly beside a table laden with fruit and a modest repast. Piager Heart turned from the temptation of celebration, with the
cherished hope that the Christ Child would visit her this Christmas Ifve. A poor man and a wmman carrying a tiny babe, stopped before her dwell­
ing to seek shelter. I hiving a kind heart she couhl not turn them away though she had prepared for another Guest. She left them to rest, and with the second rising of the curtain came to a field where shepherds sur-
