MY WHALE OF A TRIP
Our first hint of whales was a couple of bubble nets. They were followed by a light blue spot suggesting the water was shallow. That could only mean one thing; whales were nearing the surface. At the sight of the first fluke, everyone ran. Not very long after, a whale surfaced and cameras clicked. Then, a calf came within four feet of the boat. The rest of our time was occupied with fluking and the occasional surfacing.
On the way home, we saw a couple of light blue spots. Most people ate lunch on the way home. A few people got sea-sick, but only a few.
We arrived at the dock some time later. When we docked, there was another crowd of people waiting to board the Dolphin VII. It was a really fun trip and 1took a great many pictures of both the ship and the whales. 1don't think that 1will ever forget my whale watching trip.
