If your second grade teacher was your all-time favorite and if you attended second grade at either The Wardlaw Country Day School or The Wardlaw- tlartridge School that favorite teacher was probably Liz McPiish. Liz, who has been teaching second grade here for the past 29 years, is known for her warmth and enthusiasm. Every student that leaves her class goes with a special gift that she has given them. The feeling of knowing that someone believes in them and likes them for themselves.
Committed to her students, Liz has worked energetically to achieve her goal of building the confidence and self-esteem of each of them. Her second grade students have always known that their teacher believed in them and genuinely cared about them. Liz has a special gift in that respect. Someone once said that if a person has managed to do something positive to make a difference in just one person's life, she is a success. According to that statement, Liz NcHish has certainly been an enormous success.
Although she will be greatly missed, we wish Liz much happiness and success in her retirement and in any future endeavors. We reluctantly say, ”Qood-by and Godspeed," and we know we will not find another teacher quite like her.
