when asked to describe Mrs. Esemer words such as fair, understanding, compassionate, and dedicated are what first come to mind. Mrs. Esemer's commitment to our school started far before Wardlaw Country Day, and The Hartridge School for Girls were combined, whether it is being a caring teacher, heading the search to find a new Headmaster, or her newly acquired position as the Interim Upper School Head, her passion for teaching and zealousness for learning are unbelievably remarkable, and worthy of admiration, her easy-to-approach and understanding nature makes her a strong asset to our school, however, she does not stop there, in addition to teaching students, she also educates our teachers in her establishment of the Grace Hopper Professional Development Institute program, to inform teachers on new educational advances, but, Mrs. Esemer's dedication does not stop when the school year ends, she also directs our summer school program, giving her only two or three
weeks of summer vacation. Mrs. Esemer's passion for the Wardlaw-Hartridge School for nearly three decades is clearly exemplified in her commitment, to both her students, and her colleagues, as a friend, teacher, and m e n t o r , t h e c l a s s o f 2 0 0 6 a n d t h e T e m p o r a e t Mo r e s s t a f f a r e h o n o r e d t o s h o w o u r t h a n k s , a n d a p p r e c i a t i o n b y dedicating our yearbook to Mrs. Rhona Esemer for her commitment, and willingness to serve.
