VARSITY CLUB
After a year of absence from Wardlaw-Hartridge, the Varsity Club was revived this year. Students had been unhappy with the dissolution of the club and with the help of faculty advisor Evan Peterson they put together a strong and active club. To qualify to be a member a student must earn three varsity letĀ ters in one year or four in two years. So far this year the club has raised a sizable amount of money through a benefit basketball game which pitted a team of professional baseball players headed by forĀ mer Athletic Director and current Cleveland Indians manager, Jeff Torborg, against a Wardlaw-Hartridge faculty team. The club also sells refreshments at the Varsity Basketball games. The proceeds from their activities are devoted to the Athletic Department.
