which is called Bahs, and is now at work on a second hook. Leila Hedges and iMargaret Elgar INIiller, of Wilmington, are studying to become trained nnrses. After their graduation from Vassar last June Anna IMoore took up scientific work in Alhany, and Anne Swann went to Columbia for a course in Physical Training, to prepare her­ self for a position. Frederica iMead, of whose Mork in Gilding we are inordinately proud, is studying at Teachers College and will return to China next year. Edith iNIellick has been unflagging in her piano work and has given a number of recitals, the entire proceeds of which, amounting to over $1 1 0 0 .0 0 , have gone to some branch of the Red Cross. Hettv ^Marshall is continuing her work as a portrait painter.
Keyo Tetsuka is studying art.
Xancy Bartlett graduated from the Xational School of Domestic
Science, Washington, D. C., in June, iMary Fiske from Lasell Sem­
inary, iMargaret IMaltby from \]Miss Wright’s School in Bryn IMawr,
and Florence Small from Dana Hall.
Everywhere the Hartridge girls are working for the Red Cross

taut chairman in the Surgical Dressings Committee of the Red Cross
Headquarters. iMarjorie Brown Condit has a government position as
her husband’s secretarv at the Princeton Aviation School, of which he

is chief instructor. At the Plainfield Red Cross Head(\]uarters one always finds one’s sehool friends. Lilian King, Elizabeth Browne,
and Katharine Browne have qualified as instructors and are now en­
titled to wear the red veils which it is our ambition to acquire. Louise
Patterson is one of the secretaries of the organization. The Bomanns
are three verv busv and cheerful workers. Ruth has worked all winter

at the Day Xursery Clinic, and Kate and Dorcas, besides helping at the Fresh Air School, have served on every local patriotic campaign and have assisted at everv charitv entertainment that has been given.
