X preparing the 1918 Annual, we have had a definite end in view. We have given our labor in the cause of school spirit; we shall be
well rewarded if any part of our work has served to raise our
esprit de corps.
As to our mistakes and omissions, we offer no excuses. An ex cuse, as a brother editor has pointed out, “is either offered where none is needed, or aims to justify the inexcusable.” We can honestly say that we have done our best, and we leave our finished work to be
judged according to its merit.
