If any single individual has a true sense of who we are in this comunity, as individuals, as students, and asan institution, it is our teacher, mentor, coach, and friend Howard Freeman.
Each summer, as the students of Wardlaw-Hartridge, new and returning, are enjoying the halcyon days oi our summer vacations, Mr. Freeman toils tirelessly in his basement office, his only company being his care worn air conditioner. Seemingly permanently affixeo to his computer keyboard and screen, he faithfullv works to please each one of our students, and their fami lies, by arranging the appropriate academic course load allowing the student to enroll in the right course atthe right time.
Sometimes working like a wizard, other times feeling like a juggler alternately tossing delicate eggs and run ning chainsaws, Mr. Freeman maintains a kind and sup portive attitude all who ask his support. With saint like patience he creates the academic schedule, teachi coaches and gently listens to all who come in cent with him.
