  THE FAIR
On Saturday, December 14, the annual Hartridge Fair was held in the school auditorium. Last year holding the fair at Christmas time proved to he such a success that we decided to do the same this year, and everything turned out just as beautifully. The tearoom was decorated with tall red candles and evergreens, and the auditorium was a bower of brilliant colors. Downstairs the Midway afforded much fun for the men and children. There was a magician upstairs who thrilled young and old alike with his tricks, and the grab bag and Santa Claus were continuously surrounded by the little ones. The raffling off of a dog, kindly donated by Mrs. Martwick, of a Shir' ley Temple doll given by Mrs. Strong, and of a sweater given by Mrs. Simonson added to the excitement and pleasure. Everything was run so efficiently with the able help of the mothers that we were surprised to learn that there were more people there than last year. Every one seemed to enjoy himself, and all went home tired but happy.
