Mr. Fred Fischer
One of the busiest places at the Upper School is the Music Room, where Mr. Fred Fischer directs a program that includes not only two choral groups and a voice class, but also music appreciation, electronic keyboards, and an AP music course for selected students.
Mr. Fischer, who came to W-H in 1982, has won the respect and affection of W-FI students for the knowledge that he brings of classical, popular, and jazz idioms in music and for the enthusiasm that he radiates in everything he does. Whether it be helping students learn their notes or directing the many rehearsals that go into producing a musical, Mr. Fischer gives unstintingly of his time to produce a first-rate music program.
With over half of the Upper School participating in some way in this program, Mr. Fischer is indeed W-H's music man.
