MEMBERS OF THE CHOIR
HK Glee Club started this year with try-outs on October the sixth. We were lucky enough to find some very good voices and therefore increased
our total to forty members. The officers were Lucy Van Boskerck, Presi dent, Marcia Conger, Vice-President, and Nancy Corbusier, Secretary and
Treasurer. Besides these a library committee consisting of Betty Lester and Marcia Conger was formed to take care of the music. Miss Hewes and Mrs. Bencier gave us invaluable assistance, and although we didn’t actually begin our practicing until November twenty-fourth, we worked very hard at our songs and were able to give the annual concert on Tues day evening, March the third. There was quite a large audience consist ing of members and friends of the school, to whom the club sang a great
variety of songs. Besides the pieces sung by the entire club there were three songs rendered by a double trio. After this group the audience looked a little depressed, but soon rallied when the entire club sang a group of

modern songs, for which Daphne Doane played the accompaniment on
the piano. The concert was brought to a close with the school song, thus X
ending the club singing for another year.
