 The very last thing, we Seniors sang as follows, to the tune of Hen Comes Tootsie:
“ Now we thank you”
(Whistle here,—you remember my whistle?
well, Saidee can’t either!) “ For this banquet.’’
(Whistle again.)
“We’ve had a great old time.
So please accept this rhyme In token of the way
We’ve enjoyed ourselves today. The Seniors thank you.’’
(Whistle) “Good night!’’
On the whole the evening was a great success, and I hope, and really think, that we’ve started a precedent for social gatherings between the day pupils and the boarders in the evening.
It’s “lights out’’ time, and I’m not ready for bed at all! Good bye,
dear, do write me soon and tell me all the scandal at home,—you know I’m wild for news!
