The Fair
On tlie afternoon of March 19th the annual school fair was giv^en for the benefit of the Children’s Ward of Muhlenberg Hospital. Anyone entering the auditorium at that time would have had dilhculty in recog nizing it, so changed was its whole appearance. Beautifully decorated tables had sprung up over night, tables loaded with every variety of articles, among them pottery, brass, candy, and flowers.
The Seniors were in charge of the cakes and Bowers, and had trans formed the front of the room into a bower. There were also Bower dolls,
which danced above the cakes in their multi-colored gowns, much to the amusement and merriment of everyone. The Juniors were in charge of the ever-popular candy table. Mention should also be made of Miss Ten nant’s table, the Jack Ross Memorial table, and Miss Murphy’s and Miss
Mapelsden’s table of brass and copper.
The Sophomore’s tea-room, the fortune telling booths, and the mid way, without which the Fair would not have been complete, added greatly to the joy of the occasion. It is to be hoped that the children of the Hos pital may obtain as much happiness from the returns of the Fair as we
did from the Fair itself.
