Acknowledgments
The job of creating a yearbook, always complex, was heightened this year by the untimely death of Mr. Lewis B. Timberlake, Maroon and Gold advisor for seven years. Were it not for the excellent training he had given us, this year’s book would not have been possible. In appreciation of all that has been done, we, the staff of the Maroon and Gold, wish to express our sincere thanks.
Hard-working junior editors, Marc B. Kornblatt and Wayne M. Wallack, showed that they could easily take over the yearbook.
The photography of Jack L. Cassell, Gary J. Hill, and Val A. Kratzman contributed well to the character of the book.
Business Managers Charles H. Streib and Roger B. Child con summately kept the books and records necessary for any business venture.
A special word of gratitude goes to Mr. Fred Olson, our publisher, for his efforts in our behalf. We also wish to thank Mrs. Julianne H. Timberlake for letting us use her home for meetings and contri buting her excellent typing. Finally, we thank Mr. Alexander Mc- Dougall for taking over as yearbook advisor.
Last, but not least, we are grateful to the parents, the patrons, the advertisers, and the Wardlaw administration, all of whom have made the 1971 Maroon and Gold possible.
