Enthusiasm and youth are ma jor strengths of this year's team, according to Coach McAuliffe. With only three seniors the team consists mainly of underclassmen, providing what Coach McAuliffe describes as a great nucleus for future years. Freshman have much more responsibility, and of ten must assume roles that were norm ally filled by juniors and seniors.
Coach McAuliff sees this year as a solid building year for the play ers to learn, gain experience and, most of all to have fun. He is unconcerned with wins and losses. The main focus is to teach the players teamwork, discipline, self-determination, character and pride, which are valuable assets needed throughout life, according to Coach McAuliff.
