If you visit the Senior Lounge at W ardlaw-Hartridge, you would be amazed at the diversity you’d find, athletes,artista musicians,and scholam B ut the rarest breed ofall is the ‘Lifer.” A ‘Lifer”is defined as a student who has attended W ardlaw-Hartridge from Kindergarten on. They have sur vived the rigors ofWHS life for 13 years and have been at the school longer than someofitsfaculty.
Theyhaveseenmanychangesoverthose 13years... VailDeaneconsoli dating w ith WHS, the move to one campus and the building of the lower school They have witnessed the point system and have taken study skills classeswithMrs.Duddy. Theywerethefirsttogothroughallthreeyearnof the M iddle School and enjoy the uniform change.
They rem em ber teachers that are no longer here... JVlr. Dodd, M rs. Bowering, M r. V ozar, M iss Babic M iss Phillips, and M rs. Keich And they remember welcoming new teachers... M r. Gonnella, M r. Gorham M m Douglas,Ms.Francevilla,and Mr.WilliamstoWardlaw-Hartridge.
Attending one institution for 13 years and being labeled a ‘Lifer” is a
unique experience and a blessing. There is something comforting about
walking down familiar halls. There is a sense of security knowing who
