The often complex language of mathematics, one that consists of numbers, sym­ bols, and equations rather than letters, words, and sentences, may appear intimi­ dating at times, but Mr. Williams, Mr. Howard, Mrs. Cerminaro, Mr. Gorham, and Mrs. Zhu have made a tremendous impact in helping us appreciate such a useful tool Making math more than .simply memorizing formula after formula, the department allows students to think out and analyze problems unlike any others they have encountered, applying their knowledge and common sense to figure out anything and eveiything.
