In memoriam: Florise J. Newton
Florise Newton, our longtime nurse, grade dean, and friend, passed away this year. Florise was a part of our Wardlaw-Hartridge community for 22 years, until two years ago when she retired. Her niece, Raissa Maynard, whom she raised as a daughter, graduated from W-H in 1992 and was winner of the W-H pin. Florise was active in community service at W-H and worldwide through her church. Her contributions went far beyond her official role here, and she will be missed by her many friends. Mrs. Newton was the senior class of 2008's dean so we would like to say a special thank you to her as well.
