In the summer of 1972 the Maroon and Gold lost a valued friend with the death of Mr. Fred Olson.
After graduating from Wagner College. Staten Island. New York. Mr. Olson worked for the Wall Street Journal. For five subsequent years, he worked with a yearbook publisher where he became acquainted with the Maroon and Gold. When he began his own publishing company in 1964. Mr. Olson once remarked: 1 feel a real affection for Wardlaw and its people." For every yearbook staff the feeling was always mutual. He offered his services as official school photographer for sevenil issues and was always available for helpful criticism and advice.
The staff of this year's Maroon and Gold wish to pay tribute to a fine publisher as well as a loyal friend. The whole Wardlaw family joins in ex tending our deepest condolences to his wife and family.
