Hartridge community in 1989, after growing up in West Orange during the 30's and working as a salesman. Quickly he became
a familiar face and made innumerable con­ tributions to our institution through his work in the transporation office. John could always be counted on to make sure each athletic team arrived at their matches on time and would even give his personal time to be sure that every student had a

safe ride home after school. John made
our school his second family so it is very fitting that he shared his birthday with Wardlaw-Hartridge Heritage Day. This unique coincidence is something that he took great pride in and was happy to announce throughout the day. John was a seventy- three year old man who embodied the commu­ nity spirit and pride of The Wardlaw- Hartridge School. Although he is gone, his spirit lives on and he will always be re­
membered for his love of his second family, our school.
