Ruimte op geldmarkt verkrapt

Willemstad - In de maand
mei 2016 is de ruimte op
de lokale geldmarkt ver-
krapt. Dit kwam vooral
door de stijging van de ver-
plichte reserves met 29,2
miljoen naar niet minder
dan 1.108.5 miljoen (ruim
1,1 miljard) gulden.
Gelden die de commerciële
banken verplicht aanhouden bij
de Centrale Bank van Curaçao
en Sint Maarten (CBCS) zonder
daarover rente te ontvangen. De
verplichte reserves stegen, niet
doordat het percentage werd op-
geschroefd - dat bleef onveran-
derd op 18 procent - maar door
een toename van de basis waaro-
ver deze wordt berekend. Deze
basis is, zo legt de CBCS uit, de HBM Group, established in 1991, is a leading independent international financial service provider. As a professional, client-oriented, family owned group

De verkrapping van de geld-
markt kwam tot uiting in de af-

lijk met -57,1 miljoen. Volgens

tegoeden van de commerciële
banken (-53,6 miljoen) en van de
bankbiljetten en munten in om-
loop (-3,5miljoen).
Laatstgenoemde houdt ver-
band met de afgenomen vraag
naar bankbiljetten en munten
door het publiek na de feestda-
gen in april. Per eind mei stond
er een waarde van 456,5 miljoen
aan bankbiljetten en munten op
de balans.

courant tegoeden van de com-
merciële banken (tot 562,1 mil-
joen per ultimo mei, red.) kan
grotendeels worden verklaard
door de netto aankoop van devie-
zen bij de Centrale Bank gecom-
bineerd met de stijging van de
verplichte reserves.”
Echter, de overmaking van
het Nederlandse Agentschap
van de Generale Thesaurie in
verband met de betaling van ren-
te en aflossing op schuldpapier
in portefeuille van de commerci-
ële banken, die in het kader van
de schuldsanering door de
Nederlandse Staat waren overge-
nomen, heeft de daling van de
rekening-courant tegoeden ge-
matigd. Aldus de CBCS in een
nadere uitleg.
Bovendien is een deel van de
rekening-courant kredieten, die
de Centrale Bank aan de com-
merciële banken had verschaft,
afgelost. Deze aflossing komt tot
uitdrukking in de daling van 8,7
miljoen in de post ‘Vorderingen
op banken’ aan de activazijde
van de balans.

manage the COO’s daily agenda, correspondence and travel. You provide high-end business, general and administrative

Your Profile
You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience preferably in the financial services sector. You
have experience facilitating meetings and have a keen attention to detail with the ability to track and manage multiple
projects simultaneously. You also have excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy skills and a high level of energy,
enthusiasm, and dedication. You have well developed analytical and problem solving skills and you are service minded.
Furthermore you have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Dutch and preferably in Spanish.
Executive Assistant Business Development
The Position
As the Executive Assistant to the Business Development Team you report to the Chief Commercial Officer and you perform
administrative and office support activities for multiple executives within the team. You assist with the development of
proposals, contracts and other relevant documents. You administer and ensure follow-up with leads and prospects and you
perform and assist with due diligence and compliance activities. You keep all physical and digital files of the department
organized and you track and report on budgets and expenses. Furthermore you help to plan and prepare events, trade
shows and business trips, which includes communicating with external experts. You are also involved in monitoring activity
and posting content for the Company’s social media channels.
Your Profile
You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience preferably in the financial services industry or in
a commercial environment. You are good at multi-tasking, you are flexible, you have well developed organizational skills,
you are accurate, and constantly striving for excellence. You are computer literate, as well experienced with other common
IT and online tools. You are proactive and service-oriented, and you also have an easy going personality. You are a self-
starter with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team. You also have excellent judgment,
discretion, and diplomacy skills and a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and dedication. Furthermore you have excellent
written and oral communication skills in English and Dutch and preferably in Spanish.
