IN AN ERA WHEN FEWER actors reach true A-list status, here comes Steven
Yeun to restore our faith
in movie stars. His role in 2018’s Burning cemented him as one to watch (assum- ing you weren’t already a fan of The Walking Dead). But it’s his role in Minari, as an immigrant farmer and father in rural Arkansas, that won Yeun a best actor nomination at this year’s Oscars. His performance confirmed what we suspected: he’s one of today’s most compel- ling onscreen talents — in Hollywood and beyond. And he’s just getting started.
