       Introduction to Accounting 611 10-12 2 1
        Introduction to Accounting is recommended for either the college bound student, the student immediately entering the workforce, or the student planning to own their own business. This course presents a study of accounting for both a business organized as a proprietorship and a corporation. The purpose of this class is to provide students with the basic accounting skills necessary to complete the entire accounting cycle (Analyzing transactions, Journalizing, Posting, Preparing a Worksheet, Preparing Financial Statements, Recording Adjusting and Closing Entries, and Preparing a Post-Closing Trial Balance) for both business structures. The students will learn valuable accounting knowledge and hands-on skills by completing real world accounting simulations for a sole proprietorship and a corporation, which will be counted as the midterm exam and final exam grade respectively.
       Honors Accounting 612 11-12 2 1
        This course is recommended for both the student planning to go to college and major in business/accounting and the student seeking employment upon graduation. Honors Accounting lays the foundation for building a career in the accounting field. It gives the student a deeper understanding of the preparation of analyzing financial reports. It provides advanced learning in specialized journals and ledgers for departmental accounting manufacturing concerns, partnerships, and corporations. The student becomes more competent so that he or she can compete in a wider employment range for entry level accounting positions. It also helps pave the way to easier understanding of college accounting courses.
PREREQUISITE: Student must have all of the following: ● Introduction to Accounting
RECOMMENDATION: C or better in Introduction to Accounting.

        Marketing 613 11-12 2 1
        This course presents marketing as a set of skills and knowledge combined with economics, finance, and career planning to create strategic plans. Students learn the foundations and functions needed to successfully market goods, services, and ideas to consumers. Professional development, customer service, and social media are presented as keys to students' success. Emphasis on careers includes the incorporation of Career Clusters. While students study business, economics, selling, human relations, communications, logistics, promotion, product planning, and pricing, they also see marketing as a career choice.
       Global Business 614 11-12 2 1
        This course is an introduction to global business. This course has a strong theory base with a managerial emphasis and a focus on the impact of technology on global business. Students will learn about global business through real-life examples, practical applications, and creative projects. Topics studied in this course are: the impact of global business, the theory of international business, the global business environment, the preparation and development of global business, and the strategy and implementation of global business. Students must demonstrate knowledge in the above-learned concepts both through classroom work and study, and through the application of real world cases.
