Information was exchanged, and I was instructed on how to find and sign the register. Being a tired, somewhat confused, and honest traveler, I asked about the rate and method of payment. I believe that the speaker crackled, “Ten dollars,” but I was left with the question how do I pay? “No problem,” answered the speaker. “Just leave the ten dollars on top of the television set. We at the Lee Motel operate on the honor system.”
