The formation of the BEI represents the culmination of a vision - to create a welcoming & centralizing Institute where all of the educational talents within the Brigham & Women’s Hospital system could more effectively integrate and more efficiently grow our collective understanding of the discipline of medical education, while working to always innovate and share what
we know with the world. With the input of so many within our
walls, and the advice of experts both locally and from around
the world, our ideas are now reality. The BEI launched in 2016
seeking to be useful, helpful, and value-added to our constituen-
cy. By 2019, we have grown and harnessed so many good ideas.
We have piloted new and novel initiatives, while operationalized
amazing educational opportunities. Most importantly, we have
worked to be a Institute that serves YOU - our healthcare-educa-
tors. My sincere thanks to each of you, for helping to create the
BEI - and thanks in advance for moving it forward!

It has been a pivotal year for the new Brigham Education Institute (BEI) Knowledge Center and we are excited to share our accomplishments with you. Being a new employee to Brighamand Women’s hospital and working in the new BEI allows me to experience a sense of community within the hospital, molding our center into what it is today. Our team executes successful events with not only expert precision, but also confidence and a smile. And our interns and students training with us from both Northeastern University and area high schools are skillfully prepared while contributing greatly to the daily success of the Knowledge Center. BEI thanks the trainees, faculty, and staff who are creating a community of learning and inspiration. They are not only producing the results, influence, and impact in today’s rapidly changing medical education environment, but also shaping the culture that BEI has to offer. Additionally, we greatly appreciate the numerous departments who supported BEI’s efforts throughout our inaugural year of growth. We are thrilled for the new year and invite you to experience the BEI Knowledge Center and all it has to offer! Thank you!
