Dear ARCS Community,
Serving as President of ARCS Foundation Oregon from July 2022 through June 2023 has been my honor.
Our organization thrives thanks to the strong, enthusiastic, and dedicated women leaders and members of our community. We attract talented new members from diverse backgrounds, including a growing presence in Corvallis and Eugene. ARCS provides women a platform to leverage their intellect
and skills, develop new capabilities, and engage in robust discussions around innovative ideas. This year, we welcomed more mid-career professionals who share fresh perspectives that enrich our organization. They are the future of this dynamic organization.
We are one of the fastest-growing chapters of ARCS Foundation National. We supported a record number of scholars, expanded our membership, and provided lifelong education programs and events for our scholars. In fall 2022, we awarded 91 scholar awards, including 29 first-year scholar awards.
Despite a challenging economic environment, our financials show that
we remain strong and on track to meet our goals. Our partner universities appreciate our mission, benefiting from the contributions of ARCS scholars who enhance research and elevate academic rankings. These financial contributions make a dramatic difference in scholars’ lives, easing their stress and creating opportunities. We are committed to continuing this support in the future.
We are grateful to you, our members, our donors, and our friends for your contributions to our success and the future of STEM education in Oregon.
Thank you,
Elizabeth Bell
President, 2022–2023
