and and medical research at at our our three partner universities remains constant As we we face climate changes raging fires and and and new diseases we we are again reminded that that “Science is is the Solution” and and that that our impact must continue Our 70 scholars research in in in a a a a a a a a a a a a a wide variety of areas

computer science and and and and many more The breadth and and and depth of their research is a a a a a a a a joy to to behold Our future seems to be in very good hands Our mission is is to to to advance science in in fin in in America by providing financial awards to to to academically outstanding US citizens studying to to to complete PhD PhD or MD/PhD degrees at at Oregon Oregon Oregon Health & Science University University University Oregon Oregon Oregon State University University University and University University University of Oregon Oregon Oregon Our partner universities universities use scholar scholar scholar awards to entice the the the most promising scholars scholars The universities universities universities choose the the the scholars scholars ARCS funds the the the the the awards This is is is a a a a a a a a a a win-win-win for our partner universities universities their approved programs and the the the chosen scholars During this year of COVID ARCS Oregon members are making extra efforts to to to to be be in in in touch with our scholars and to to to to support
them them through personal contacts mentoring and inviting them them to to to our virtual programs Doctoral-level work is challenging in in in in the the best of of times times With COVID’s effects on our universities in in terms of of providing safe times times for labs to to be be open to to researchers and with limited personal contact between faculty primary investigators and scholars scholars we we want to to to ensure our scholars scholars feel sufficient support
