I followed up on her request with a response that it was not possible to provide more financial resources than the amount determined by the financial need established by the financial aid office. To do so would cause the student to be overfunded, and they would lose their financial aid and end up paying it back.
Endowment
President Martin reported on the endowment and invited the Johnson Scholarship Foundation to the IAIA’s next year’s fundraising Gala in Santa Fe during the Indian Market.
The endowment money has all been invested, and the IAIA is using institutional resources to currently fund the JSF scholarship program.
