END NOTES
September Board and Committee meetings
These meetings will be held September 10th through 12th in Chicago. We will be staying at the Renaissance Hotel, 1 West Upper Wacker Drive. We are planning to visit Providence St. Mel School on Monday morning.
Also, below are the meal options for dinner. We need to provide the hotel with exact numbers on how many of each item to prepare. If you have not already done so, please advise Sharon of your choices.
SUNDAY EVENING DINNER CHOICES:
Seared Filet w/whipped potatoes, haricots verts, black peppercorn sauce OR
Seared Salmon w/tri-color quinoa, rainbow chard, lemon-turmeric sauce
Dessert: triple chocolate mousse OR pecan tart
MONDAY EVENING DINNER CHOICES:
Seared New York Strip w/garlic & thyme hasselback potato, creamed spinach, sauce bordelaise OR
Mahi Mahi w/garlic rice cake, steamed baby bok choy, scallion thread, sesame-ginger coconut bisque
Dessert: chocolate flourless cake OR apple pie verrine
We have planned a special evening for our JSF family on Monday. We will start with dinner at 5:00 p.m. at the hotel followed by a 2 block walk to the dock to board a river boat for an architectural tour of Chicago.
John H. Glover
John H. Glover, a consultant based in Bellingham, WA, has joined JSF as an Indigenous Peoples Programs Consultant. In this role, he will manage the colleges and universities in the Entrepreneurship Scholarship program while Rick Williams transitions to overseeing our growing list of Endowment schools. John has had a long and distinguished career in law, education and nonprofit management. Most recently, he has been the director of institutional advancement at Northwest Indian College and a consultant, liaison and subject matter expert with Environmental Resources Management and Kauffman & Associates.

As part of our preparations for our December Board Retreat, we’ve asked our
new Board Consultant, Lowell Weiss, to conduct confidential 60-minute interviews with each Board member and Consultant. He will be conducting these interviews between September 15 and November 18.
