• Children of UPS employees
The Grant Program Committee asked about the scholarships awarded in this program. Attached is the listing of new and renewal scholarships awarded for the 2021/2022 academic year. The applications for the 2022/2023 academic year are being processed right now. The list will be forwarded to UPS headquarters for employment verification before students are advised of receiving scholarships.
INDIGENOUS PEOPLES PROGRAMS

• Entrepreneurship program schools
Bobby and Rick visited Robeson College and University of North Carolina – Pembroke. They were impressed with both schools and both will be invited to submit applications for the 2022/2023 round of scholarship grants. Watch for reports of their visits in the May Monthly Report.
• Gonzaga University
C. H. (“Bud”) Barnes, Dean Emeritus, Professor of Economics sent this note:
“I just had a meeting with the current class of our AIE – MBA students. What an amazing group of young men and women. I told them how proud the Johnson Scholarship Foundation leaders are with this program, helping with their education and its long history of successful graduates. US News and World Report just recognized Gonzaga’s MBA-AIE as the 14th highest ranked Specialty program in Entrepreneurship.

Sharon and Lady will be in Spokane next month to represent the Foundation in the graduation events for Cohort XIII.

The University of Central Florida filed the attached report on the status of this one-of-a-kind endowment. It is gratifying to see that this endowment is not only providing scholarships to students, but also continuing to grow.
