Dear Mr. Krause,
On behalf of Gallaudet University, thank you for your loyal support of our students for the past 32
years.
This is an especially exciting report to share with you as this is the first time we used funds from your
foundation to support our students during international internships and Education Abroad
programs in Spain, Italy, Austria, Peru, China, and Japan.
Other thrilling news to share is that we had a record-breaking fundraising year during Fiscal Year
2024. From October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024, Gallaudet raised $14.4 million in new gifts and
pledges, beating the all-time high fundraising record of $13.2 million set in 1991.
Perhaps the most impressive fact about the gifts that helped us achieve this new goal is that they
came from many kinds of donations from many different individuals, families, and organizations
such as JSF. Most of the gifts went to student scholarships, a major area of need for Gallaudet
students, and the Necessity of Now fundraising campaign. This achievement is a true testament to
the loyalty and generous spirit of our donors.
FY24 brought more transformative growth to the University. We are now in Phase Two of the
Gallaudet Promise, our 10-year vision toward a sustainable and vibrant experience for our University,
as we continue our mission to impact and elevate Deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind, DeatDisabled
people, and all of humanity.
