Once this initial frenzy of activity subsides, state markets will eventually stabilize and standardize legislation, regulations and taxes. Given the pace of change, nationwide legalization (even on the Federal level) is all but inevitable.
When that happens it is also inevitable that multi-billion-dollar, international companies in the Beer, Wine and Spirits Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry and even the Tobacco Industry will move rapidly to take control of the Cannabis Industry. Only cannabis companies that are large
enough and strong enough to compete will survive. The vast majority of other companies will be either bought out or driven out of business.
