Non producono gas e sono completamente
sigillate. Possono esssere posizionate ovunque.
Accettano scariche rapide (resistenza interna bassissima). Particolarmente adatte ad impianti ove
richiesti elevati picchi di corrente:
eliche di manovra, salpa ancore, avviamento
motore. Devono essere caricate a 14,4 V
(fase absorption max 4 ore).
Poi devono essere caricate a 13,25 V
(fase float carica batterie).
