Osseointegration Foundation reaches 170 students with travel grants
The Osseointegration Foundation (OF) has always funded education and research. Part of this is supporting young clinicians with Student Travel Grants to attend AO's Annual Meeting, which helps provide personal networking opportunities and also develop their career visions and aspirations.
It has been very important to the OF to get these young clinicians, who are tomorrow’s leaders and researchers, to the Annual Meeting. In that spirit, OF is proud to increase its Student Travel Grants by awarding 30 dental students, each with a grant for $1,000, and the opportunity to present their research this year in Seattle.
Including those given for the 2025 Annual Meeting, OF will have awarded 170 students with these grants since instituting this program in 2017.
Grants are allocated toward travel expenses related to attending the Academy’s Annual Meeting to assist in paying travel expenses including airfare, hotel and ground transportation. This annual award is open to both AO student members and student non-members who submit an abstract for the meeting and are currently enrolled in a dental school program.
The winning students were selected for a travel grant after receiving the top scores of student-submitted oral research and e-poster abstracts for the 2025 Annual Meeting as reviewed by members of the AO Research Submissions and ePoster committees.
