IRMA STAT (CONT’D): That is why climate innovation is the guiding principle in everything we do. We have been given the unique position to tackle some of the planet’s biggest environmental challenges.
Areas covered with arid land bloom, and animals can be seen traversing their habitats.
IRMA STAT: Over the past six years, Trane Technologies has avoided 21 million metric tons of carbon emissions leading us to our gigaton challenge. We have set the goal of reducing one gigaton of carbon emission from our customers’ footprints by 2030.
We cross densely populated cities and as the air begins to clear we see more of the beautiful urban landscapes. Thermo King trucks drive down the roads.
IRMA STAT: So far, we have seen a 38% total reduction in water use in water- stressed regions between 2013 and 2018. We have achieved a 23% total operational energy efficiency increase over the past five years.
We are also reworking and converting our supply chain and operations to have a restorative impact on the environment. Our pledge is to achieve carbon neutral operations, deliver zero waste to landfills, become net positive with water use,
and reach 10% absolute reduction in energy consumption.
We zoom out through the atmosphere into space. A noticeable amount of space debris encircles the globe and begins to disappear. Forests grow, and the oceans are a brilliant blue. The earth flourishes into the image we saw in the original simulation of the future. It appears that by taking our first steps on this journey, we have already started succeeding in our mission.
IRMA STAT: The first way to create a global climate for the future is to create a local climate of inclusion. That is why we are focusing on our workforce and communities by strengthening economic mobility, bolstering quality of life, and fighting for human rights. We are committed to achieving gender parity in leadership and screening all new suppliers on human rights and labor practices.
