The scale model of Marcello Gandini’s proposal was ready to be shown to Stanzani and Borel in July 1989.
Seen from the side, the model demonstrated a tight, tense body language which was less aggressive than Gandini’s designs for Lamborghini.
This is most obvious when the model is seen from the front, which shows two different proposals split by a centre line.
The unusual use of spats over the rear wheels was a fascinating throwback to pre-war cars like the Bugattis of yore.
The all-enveloping spoiler sitting atop the rear section.
