magnificent machine in 1927. Built for the elites, monarchs, and heads of states, and featuring a massive 12,763cc engine capable of almost 200 bhp, but at a stratospheric price of 500,000 Francs, the Royale was a commercial disaster. Just six cars were manufactured, and only three were sold (though, none to any monarch), with the remaining three retained by the factory. A seventh Royale was constructed from spare parts after the Second World War by the Schlumpf brothers.
